So you are all signed up for your first Hive Chat – now what??
Lets walk you through some clear steps of what to expect next.
- End of day Monday – we see who all signed up for the week. Based on your time slots, nonprofit background and selected chat preferences I make my matches!
- Tuesday morning you will receive your Introduction Email. If you haven’t gotten one, make sure to check your spam filters (and approve us for the future).
- Your Introduction email will contain a calendar link with a unique URL to where your video chat will be hosted.
- It will also add to your calendar (for the majority of providers) the calendar invite.
- Your Introduction email will have the name and link to your match’s LinkedIn profile. Reach out and “Connect” with them on LinkedIn (I always use a “Hi, looking forward to our chat!” message).
- You will receive a Reminder email 1 hour before your chat (just in case) that will contain your video chat link again.
- Use video link at the correct time to meet your match!
Now you are probably wondering what to do if you can’t make your call….
It’s simple. Here are your options.
- If you connected over LinkedIn, reach out and let them know. Reschedule on your own video platform at a date time that works for the two of you.
- Email your match – you can find their email address in your calendar invite!
- OR if under a significant emergency level time crunch, email us to handle the challenge by responding to our Introduction or Reminder emails.
And thats it! Happy first chatting my new “Hiver” (our members have taken to calling themselves that.
