Paul F Morris

A highly skilled professional equally at home with big-picture strategy and brass-tacks
execution, Paul brings over 30 years of fundraising experience and nearly $50 million
raised across a wide spectrum of not-for-profit organizations. He’s led successful
development efforts in regional theatre, architectural preservation, direct health services
at both the state and national levels, and youth-centered education initiatives—from
statewide chess programs for low-income students to mentoring and academic support
aimed at breaking generational cycles of poverty. He spearheaded fundraising for an
environmental education organization on a 100-acre site in the Portland metro area and
now leads development for the world’s largest organization addressing vestibular
disorders— expanding donor engagement and elevating national visibility for a
historically under-resourced health issue.
In addition to frontline leadership, Paul’s consulting work is as dynamic as the sector
itself. He leads a national coaching team for a tech company serving nonprofits,
provides interim and fractional development leadership to keep organizations on track
during transitions, partners with other consultants on complex, multi-stakeholder
projects, and works directly with clients across the country on fundraising systems,
annual and major gifts, and grant strategy.
Paul is a frequent speaker, teacher, and writer on nonprofit development, known for a
direct, hopeful approach that ditches jargon in favor of real talk and real results. He’s
especially passionate about helping small and emerging organizations grow with
confidence, sustainability, and integrity.
He lives in Beaverton with his family.
