Jamie Williams is the Chief Executive Officer of Healthier Texas, a statewide 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving health outcomes and reducing preventable disease across Texas. With more than twenty years of executive leadership experience, Jamie has directly raised over $50 million to advance mission-driven organizations and now leads Healthier Texas through a bold transformation toward sustainable, community-rooted health solutions.
Under her leadership, Healthier Texas has evolved from a primarily grant-funded organization into a diversified, prevention-focused model centered on Community Health Workers, nutrition access, and social determinants of health navigation. She has spearheaded the development of scalable health coaching programs, community-based Health & Healing Hubs, and strategic partnerships that expand access to care for uninsured and underinsured Texans. Jamie is particularly focused on aligning mission, impact, and financial sustainability by building fee-for-service and value-aligned revenue strategies that strengthen long-term organizational resilience.
Jamie’s expertise spans strategic planning, revenue diversification, market positioning, corporate partnerships, and systems-level collaboration. Prior to leading Healthier Texas, she held leadership roles with Susan G. Komen, where she managed a $120 million affiliate revenue portfolio and guided the organization through a complex national consolidation, as well as leadership positions with the Alzheimer’s Association, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and the ALS Association.
Early in her career, Jamie experienced nine pregnancy losses, an experience that deeply shaped her understanding of maternal health inequities and the structural barriers that influence long-term wellbeing. That lived experience continues to inform her commitment to community-based, human-centered strategies that prioritize dignity, access, and measurable impact.
Jamie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of North Texas and a Master of Business Administration from Texas Woman’s University. She also holds certificates in conflict management, facilitation, and nonprofit management. She lives in North Texas with her sons, Abe and Ben, and their dog, Ugin. When she’s not working, you’ll find them dancing like no one is watching and playing soccer until the sun goes down.
